10 Things

It's Friday night and I'm sitting here with Tanner, and Brandon watching March Madness with a headache. Instead of sitting here bored, I have decided to copy Alicia and name the top ten things that make me happy.
1. My sewing machine, fabric, and a new pattern. I know those are 3 different things but a sewing machine means nothing without the other 2.
2. Makeup. No matter how sick I am looking and feeling, I can always make myself look good which min return makes me feel good.
3. A clean home. I may not be the tidiest person but I definitely love being in a clean home.
4. A running car.  My dad's truck has been at the auto shop getting the engine replaced for about a week now, and I didn't realize how much I depended on that car. So thanks daddy for letting me always be able to use your car. I love you!
5. My sisters. I love them all so much and when all 5 of us are together I can't think of anything funnier.
6. Traveling. How could anybody hate going to new/old places?
7. Planning parties. It's one thing to host a party but to really decorate and to go all out makes the whole party so much better.
8. Sunshine. I would rather be hot than cold.
9. Water. I love swimming, skim boarding, drinking it and almost anything else that you can do in the water.
10. Love. Even though I'm sitting here watching a basketball game.. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Serger

So I got one of the best gifts ever the other week from my amazing Aunt Lorraine!
She gave me her serger!!!
Now for those of you who don't sew, a serger is a completely different machine that is used for finishing seems.  I got this at the most perfect time because I'm making a prom dress for my manger's daughter.  Yes I have made dresses in the past but this one is different because I'm going to enter it into Joann Fabric's prom dress contest. I know I was meant to do this because the contest ends the day before my 20th birthday and the oldest you can be is 19.  And if I win first place I'll get $50,000 and a $1,000 gift card to Joann's.  So I'm pretty excited.
